about

Selected tunes made between 2011 to 2021.

I thought I'd have completed an album of new tunes by now. Since that wasn't to be, here are some more old tunes! Mostly from 2012, which means cheap drums, cheesy wobble basses, and endless offbeat supersaw/organ stabs. Not exactly easy listening. But a few people have asked in the past for a download of some of these songs which I've used in videos before, so here they are, finally dolled up for release!

It only seems appropriate to master these quite loud, if anything to obscure what nasty random peaks managed to squeeze past the Fruity Limiter I was blithely unaware of back when. That way it sounds at least intentionally squashed flat. Two tracks deemed irredeemable are hidden as "bonus" tracks.

EDIT 31/12/2023:
Added track 'Wubby (2012)' and modified the end of 'S. Forsee Hobble (2013)' a teeny tiny bit (half a second pause) to fit nicely. I don't like changing stuff after it's released, but the opportunity to release loud stuff from 2012 as a compilation doesn't come often.

Additional credits/thanks:
Tracks 2 and 4: Rob, whose voice was sampled and vocoded (SirSnood on Twitch)
Track 7: "barrel organ from 1 meter.wav" sample by klankbeeld: freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/sounds/202334/

P.S. Careful using tracks 4, 8 and 16 in videos as the not very disguised sample use might set off Content ID, not sure.

P.P.S. 'Derpstep' was the name of the FL Studio project at the time, but it was once put on YouTube under a different title. Anyone remember what that was?
